No Changes

For now, we have no updates to make to the list of cards banned in any format. Core seems to be in a good place with multiple viable strategies. There are, of course, cards that are quite strong, but the format appears healthy enough to promote playing a variety of different strategies. Classic has also been refreshingly diverse and competitive. Removing Hesriana seems to have had the desired effect of diluting Tyrus’s viability and so for now Unholy Power is marked SAFE from our banning efforts. There has been some community chatter about whether Rune of Vengeance should be allowed to exist, but for now we feel like the combo is hard enough to pull off and easy enough to interact with that we don’t have reason to take action against it at this time. Contemporary has barely been played so it is hard to comment on. And lastly we have decided not to establish a banlist for Chaos or Lazy Peon at this time.

In short, everything is fine (but not like the dog in the burning house fine). Happy gaming!
